Jerry Desmonde is just perfect as the hard nosed multinational windbag boss, Bryan Pringle is the ultimate uber-villain Milkman, and the scenes with the drug-filled Apple are mind-alteringly wonderful. 4 out of 4 found this helpful. There is a part of birdwatching that for me is always associated with those losses, and with the hunt for something irretrievable.

Trama. A British road repairman gets into a feud with the Army, gets drafted and is mistakenly parachuted into Nazi occupied France where his physical resemblance to the local German commandant triggers a hilarious chain reaction.
We planted that when my son was 10 years old. I'd not exactly say I don't like this, but I'd place it near the bottom of the list. Comedy film fans may make the sign of the cross at his name, but the fact is he was the No.1 British box office star for well over a decade. Grimsdale's Dairy, an old fashioned company who still deliver milk by horse and cart, are under threat of closure by the modern conglomerate that is Consolidated Dairies.

Ferit Aslan (Can Yaman) is a very successful businessman, and is extremely organized.
A friendly window cleaner works at an English country estate where he saves the owner's son from kidnappers. Mention the name Norman Wisdom to many and the chances are the first thing they think of is of him in that ill-fitting 'gump' suit, mugging frantically, falling over to the strangulated cry of 'Mr.Grimsdale!'. Every scene is shot in either a Tooting-based flat or business, and we did this in order to create a real community feel for the film.
But it's humor is just as with any funny line of dialog or joke.

Despite some good moments - an amusing but protracted opening gag involving Norman's elaborate waking methods, the star's Western-style showdown with a competitor, the utilization of his milk-bottles as weapons in a domestic squabble and Norman's demolition of Desmonde's garden - the film bogs down soon enough with a recurrent subplot about Chapman's tentative romance with his chubby middle-aged landlady (which is constantly interrupted by Norman bursting into their room) and the star's sentimental attachment to an old cart-horse (and whom the competition even contrive to poison in order to get them out of the way!).

The heights. which is being run out of business by a big corporation that has, as its manager, the ubiquitous (and, by now, quite aged) Jerry Desmonde. And the grace, to negotiate the massive limbs and endless...JAMES: I’ll still have the pine. One day he gets out his father's old uniform and "walks the beat". Early Bird is a very dark, 'worst-case scenario' comedy based around the concept of flat sharing.
